Stanford’s High Energy Physics Lab (HEPL)

REM developed this extremely precise differential capacitor for Stanford’s High Energy Physics Lab (HEPL). It was used to validate flight measurement electronics for the ST-7 satellite.

The capacitor is adjustable over a range of 30 femtofarads (a femtofarad = 10-15 farads) and has a resolution of better than 0.05 femtofarads.
